About my counselling approach
I am an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist which means that I draw on a number of different approaches to inform my practice. As every person is unique, not everybody works in the same way. I work in a way that is professional, empathic, warm and attentive.
I offer a gentle and welcoming approach. My genuine and honest way of being, relating with openness and warmth, aims to help you find a way of moving forward at a pace that feels possible for you.
I will aim to help you gain self-awareness, insight and clarity in the here-and-now through listening, being present and creating a safe space for you to explore feelings confidentially and without judgement.
I am down-to-earth, creative, approachable, and hard-working. I enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
My work as a counsellor and psychotherapist
I draw on many years experience of counselling carers, people who are bereaved, and also within a hospice. During this work, I also supported clients through a range of life issues including sexuality, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, social isolation, and low self-confidence. My practice is registered and based in the UK and subject to UK law.
