Frequently Asked Questions
You may have questions. Click the contact me page to talk it through.
What happens in your initial consultation?
The initial consultation is a 50-minute assessment session. This gives you the opportunity to experience my therapeutic approach without any obligation to continue, and to ask any questions you may have. There will be an opportunity for you to reflect on what brings you to counselling/psychotherapy and what you hope to gain. Towards the end of the initial consultation, we will reflect on how you have experienced the consultation and what it felt like for you. After this, if we decide to work together, we would then discuss and agree on how we would work together going forward. These arrangements would then be reviewed between us regularly.
If I think that a different counsellor/psychotherapist or organisation with a different, approach, skill-set and expertise, may be better suited to support you and your needs presently, then this would be further reflected upon either during or after the initial consultation.
What is the duration of a counselling/psychotherapy session? Counselling/psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration. Sessions usually take place at a set day, time and place each week.
What is the fee?
